Thank you so much to all the lovely ladies at Marshmallow brides for all your help and amazing alteration skills. My dress was gorgeous and I felt like a princess on my wedding day! The men looked fantastic in their hire suits too, such a great tailored fit. I will definitely recommend you to future brides and grooms x

AVOID AVOID AVOID Do not put yourself through what we went through. the straps broke on my wifes wedding dress 3 times over the course of the afternoon on our wedding day reducing her to tears. My wife went into this shop and ordered her wedding dress last January/Feb 2017. it was meant to come into the shop in 6 months, so by July, August. Our wedding was December 30th 2017. My wife was to have alterations and also some new straps attached that she hand picked in the shop and was recommended by the owners/staff. The dress didn't arrive in until December, 4 months late and after months of emailing and chasing it constantly, told the same thing its coming soon we will let you know, basically being lied to and fobbed off. Now, apparently the whole reason of the straps was Tash my wife didn't want the dress to be strapless and wanted it to look how she ordered it. she was left with a strapless dress for most of the evening. Now after going on our honeymoon and coming back to marshmallow bride to complain of our grievances Tash and her Mum were dealt with in a way I don't believe anyone in this position should be dealt with. They were told the straps weren't normal straps and they weren't meant for the dress. They were in fact for something else. They were accused of not hanging the dress properly to which TASHAS MUM STOPPED THE LADY RIGHT THERE AND SHOWED HER HOW IT WAS HUNG WHICH WAS HOW SHE WAS SHOWED. The lady then has her back up and says someone else will deal with it from there and to leave the dress there so they can look at it and repair it. So Tash and her mum leave the shop and are told the manager/owner will get in touch via phone or email, they ask why were sold the straps at an extra £250 and fitted to the dress if they shouldn't have been???? To which there was no real response apart from being told the manager will get in touch by phone or an email. After a phone call which didn't really get anywhere apart from asking how the dress was hung and what happened and tash explaining in full an email came the next week stating they are happy to offer £150 as a goodwill gesture. My view to that email as a floristry business owner. (I'm in a very similar field) The straps cost £250 the least they could do was immediately refund the bride for her dress and look at how to make the situation right. Apologise and put right in any way. However bad a mistake is, admit to it, be truthful and put the situation right. If the photographer lost his memory stick and left us with no photos, Refund. if the flowers are dead at your wedding and ruin the look of the venue and photos.Refund. If the food poisons people or is cold and everyone complains. Refund. im not listing wedding nightmares here but I see what happened as something of a mini nightmare for my wife on her big day. Back to marshmallow brides response: They again hid behind the fact the straps shouldn't have been put on there but admitted full responsibility and offered to clean the dress and refund the straps £350.00. they charged £350 for straps to be fitted to the dress. With this offer they took away any good will gesture they originally offered (which £150-Was laughed at by ourselves) but ADMITTED they were at fault for the dress being mis sold by adding the straps. So they actually believe they have sorted the problem by fixing the straps which don't work and shouldn't be on this dress and dry-cleaning the dress. My wife has accepted this and matter is now finished as the shop dropped the dress off today. 2months since we complained!!! we chased the dress twice in the last 2 weeks to find outwit was going on. must take 2 months to repair 2 straps and dry clean wedding dresses these days. After waiting for so long for the dress to come in, being lied to by the staff saying it was coming in on a weekly basis to the straps going on her, and then dealing with the way they handle complaints and the poor attitude of all the staff I will say again AVOID AVOID AVOID. full story on Facebook page had to edit it down for this review
